Growing up, I always saw my father helping my mother in the kitchen. He had a love for cooking and occasionally prepared delicious dinners for our family and friends. Hosting gatherings was a big part of my childhood, with home-cooked meals at the centre of these special occasions. To this day, my father enjoys cooking hearty meals for us, and one day, I decided to make a video of him cooking, to cherish that memory forever.

This is Alo Gosht – one of our family’s favourite recipes. We often pair it with plain boiled white rice for a comforting, satisfying meal. While it is pronounced ‘aaloo‘ in many regions across the subcontinent, colloquially, we say ‘aa-lo’.
